How to Pay with Crypto in 10 Minutes

Mainstream payment processors (Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Stripe) ban adult services. That leaves three options for paying a domme: bank wire (slow, $25-30 fees, your bank may flag it), specialist adult merchants (Segpay, CCBill — only some sites have those), or crypto.

Crypto bypasses the banking system entirely. The transaction is between your wallet and theirs. No "adult content" merchant code appears on your statements. The transfer settles in 5-30 minutes regardless of time zone, and fees are typically under £1 for small amounts.

For dommes, accepting crypto means no chargeback risk, no merchant account application, no platform suspension. For clients, it means privacy and no awkward bank questions.

Two coins cover 99% of adult-services payments:

• Bitcoin (BTC) — universally accepted. Older, slower, slightly higher fees, but every provider takes it.
• USDT (Tether) — pegged to the US dollar, so the price doesn't move while you're paying. Most professionals prefer this for invoicing. Lower fees than BTC.

If the provider says "BTC or USDT," default to USDT — it's simpler because £15 of USDT is always £15 of USDT, no surprises.

The easiest route for first-timers is Coinbase. It's a regulated US/UK exchange, supports both buying crypto with a card and sending it to other people's wallets, and has a clean mobile app.

1. Go to coinbase.com and click "Get Started"
2. Enter your email and a password
3. Verify your email (they send a link)
4. Add your phone number for SMS verification
5. Upload a photo of your passport or driver's licence + a selfie (identity verification — required by law for any regulated exchange)
6. Wait 5-30 minutes for KYC approval

That's the whole sign-up. You now have a wallet that can buy and send crypto.

Once verified:

1. Open Coinbase, tap "Buy"
2. Search for "USDT" (or "Bitcoin" if the provider prefers BTC)
3. Enter the amount in your local currency — add a small buffer (10%) for fees. So if the invoice is £15, buy £17 of USDT.
4. Tap "Preview Buy" — review the fee
5. Choose payment method: debit card (instant), bank transfer (1-3 days), or Apple/Google Pay
6. Confirm

The crypto is now in your Coinbase wallet. You're ready to pay.

When the provider sends you an invoice link (usually a NOWPayments URL), it shows a QR code and a wallet address. Either:

Mobile (easiest): 1. In Coinbase app, tap the coin you bought 2. Tap "Send" 3. Tap the QR code icon → scan the QR on the invoice page 4. Confirm amount 5. Tap "Send"

Desktop: 1. In Coinbase web, click the coin 2. Click "Send" 3. Copy the wallet address from the invoice and paste it into Coinbase 4. Enter the exact amount shown on the invoice 5. Confirm

The transaction confirms in 5-30 minutes. The provider gets a notification automatically — no need to send a screenshot.

Wrong coin. Don't send BTC to a USDT invoice or vice versa. Always match the coin to the invoice. Coinbase will warn you if you try to send to an incompatible address, but pay attention.

Wrong amount. Most invoices include the exact crypto amount and an expiry. Send too little and the invoice times out; send too much and the excess usually stays with the provider unless you've agreed otherwise.

Wrong wallet variant. USDT comes in three flavours — ERC-20, TRC-20, BEP-20. The invoice will specify which. Coinbase handles this cleanly for default options, but double-check the network name on the invoice.

Expired invoice. NOWPayments invoices usually expire in 20-60 minutes. If you wait too long, ask the provider to regenerate the invoice — don't send to an expired address.

Crypto isn't fully anonymous — the blockchain is public, and exchanges like Coinbase know your identity (legal requirement). But it's far more private than card payment because:

• The transaction doesn't appear on your card statement as "ADULT SERVICES" — it shows up as "COINBASE PURCHASE" only
• The provider only sees the wallet address you sent from, not your name or email
• Coinbase only reveals identity to law enforcement with a court order

For maximum privacy, some users add one step: buy crypto on Coinbase, send it to a self-custody wallet (like Trust Wallet or Exodus), then send to the provider from there. This breaks the link between your Coinbase account and the recipient. Worth it only if privacy is critical.

4. Funds arrive within 30 minutes; you can convert to GBP/USD inside Coinbase and withdraw to your bank
